Rich Orange Cake

Weekend finally came and i start my baking with my Baby Belling!!!!

Since it's one of my colleague birthday, decided to bake her a rich orange cake for her birthday.

I am really amaze by the performance of the Baby Belling, heat is constant throughout the baking period and the top of the cake does not get burn easily, although the cake seem quite close to the heating element. The strong door does help to retain the heat inside the oven.

And here is the cake.
The orangery yellow color make me smile, look so good.
I slightly touch the top of the cake, it's moist, soft and smell good.

Accidentally touch the side of the cake while opening up the box and "injure" the cake.

Orange Cake Slice

The cake taste pretty good, texture is soft and it has a orange tangy after taste.

Guess what I need to do it to improve on the presentation of the cakes and my photography skill. :p

But conclusion, the Baby Belling is something worth investing for a baking oven.
Thumbs Up.

Cheers.

Baby Belling

Been baking for 10 years and decided to invest on a reputable oven. Read many review on this oven call Baby Belling, well known for its quality, durable and maintain even heat temperature during baking. But this oven is not commonly found in Singapore, I have looking around, called the distributor and it's coming to Singapore. Quickly go around looking for it and saw it in a electronic store. This oven has those old fashion look and is really solid, the door is pretty thick and closed really tight. You can find more details of the oven here. http://www.belling.co.uk/baby-belling Wasting no more time, I quickly place an order for it and have to wait 2 days for it to arrive. Finally today, I got my new oven!!!! My Baby.. came wrapped up nicely... After unwrapping it. It has also 2 hobs on top of the oven, cool.... Peeling off the protective sticker on the stainless steel door   The inner potion of the oven. Can;t wait to bake u

Singapore Kin Kin Ban Mian

Have tried this in Malaysia and this is now always available in Singapore. I have posted in one of my post and the noodle was fantastic. When this shop was open in Singapore, there are long queues everyday. Therefore I have waited for the queue to cool down before trying this. I went there on a weekday and there is totally no queue. This shop is located in Macpherson road. Well, it might be a central location but have to walk around 5 mins from MRT station. Menu are available on the wall and you can place order by writing on the form they have provided on the table. I ordered the signature ban mian, can't wait to add in their dry chilli. Ordered their signature fish-ball soup too as according to my friend, this is nice. Serving was fast and in the noodle and fish ball soup are brought in front of us. For me, the noodle is not as nice compare to the one that I had in KL. The noodle is quite hard, it feel as the noodle is not totally cook. This is not ca

Ubin First Stop Restaurant

It was my mum’s birthday and we had an impromptu dinner at Ubin First Stop Restaurant.   Located in Changi Village, it’s a place whereby me and my family go quite often as its pretty laid back and quiet. Such places are hard to find now a days. It isn’t our first time there and it was the pleasant experiences which led to me writing this review. Nothing special to the setting of the place but it makes you feel as if you have returned to kampong days. There’s aircon and non-aircon seating area. Depending on individual preference, we prefer the non-aircon area. The restaurant is pretty spacious, an ideal place for families with kids. Sambal Petai with Prawns The Sambal Petai with prawns is cooked together with ikan bills and onion. The ikan bills add the crunch and with the spiciness of the Sambal, it leaves us satisfied and craving for more. A good dish to go with rice. For those that do not know about Petai. It is also known as 臭豆 (smelly bean) in Chinese as it has this
