Today will be a long driving journey from Punakha to Trongsa, a 5 hours car journey on the windy mountain road. During the journey, we visited the Punakha Dzong, which is a place where every king is crowned. This Dzong is also where the current 5th king held his wedding before celebrating in Thimphu city. Did u notice that the staircases are divided into 3 sections? In the past, the middle potion can only be use by the royal family or someone with great status. But I'm not sure for now if they still practise that. There is this painting of a elephant, monkey, rabbit and bird in some of the Dzong. There's a little story about this. The bird found the seed and plant it, the rabbit water it, the monkey fertilize it and the elephant protect it. As the tree grow and bear fruits. They co-orperate and help one another to get the fruits from the tree. Guess the morale of the story is to co-operate with one another, work together in social harmony. We carry
